Yeah, an FPS game looks cool especially if we can rope in the rest to play.
Was actually hoping for a few things, especially when and if Jew and Ian come to stay in sg permanently.
(1) Monthly (or so) gaming sessions
Face-to-face gaming sessions at someone's place once a month or so (seeing how God-damn busy we are) to game always cool. I was thinking of B-tech the way we used to play in Secondary school. That would be cool. I can host once in a while as my new place (in Yishun. Shifting in 4th Qtr of the year) is much bigger.
(2) Enlarged Online ExV Community
With more people in the same time zone, it'll be easier for us to plan games. CoH sounds good but frankly I'm not the RTS type and don't think I have the time (I can imagine myself marshalling a defense and my son drags me away to ask me to feed him a banana. Death by banana!!) but FPS sounds cool. I might get a new rig for my new place if I really need it as my laptop does not meet the minimum requirement for R6:V2 _________________ IL2 - Flying meat

That would be cool. Old skool gaming would be fun. Let see if something can be arranged. I know the guys over at Mag7 have been playing over the 'net with webcams and all. ;)
The reason why I brought this up, is cos I met with Steven the other day and he asked about gaming again and suggested either one of these games. With in-built VoIP, we don't really need 3rd party software anymore, which is cool.
My own rig is slightly lacking in the Video card department and my processor might be a little under optimum specs. Hopefully I can get an upgrade soon. _________________ He kicks twice as much ass as the next guy. Hence, assassin.

I ran the diagnostic program for R6:V2 on my laptop and the official answer is...
... close but no cigar.

Mine's just about 3 notches above the minimum requirements.
Tried to buy a new graphics card today for my comp. Got $$$ but no card.
Trying to get the Asus 3870 but either shop don't have or just tell me cannot fit into my casing. |

Oh, just notice in the minimum requirements, XPSP2 only is specified. Not sure if it means no SP3. |

Normally SP3 should be fine right? SP3, as I understand it, mainly contains of non-critical updates and does not update a lot of system files so its very similar to SP2 in that sense.
All my rigs can't play any of the games mentioned. Sigh. Gonna be spending heaps as I've just gotten the keys to my new place in Yishun and need to renovate, buy furniture, etc.
Any other games upcoming that are good? _________________ IL2 - Flying meat

Should be ok with SP3. Usually requirements are the minimum anyway. _________________ He kicks twice as much ass as the next guy. Hence, assassin.

No dice. My "zoom-zoom" PC just died, and I'm making do with a *very* low-end $500 desk-top model.
I'd go with the F2F game ~ it need not be RPGs, even just board games is fine. _________________

My desktop is dead too. The hard disk is dead with more bad sectors than the Indonesian police force.
Doubt I'll get a replacement but as I ponder that, I'm running on my notebook which has always been faster than my desktop... _________________ IL2 - Flying meat

Well, there was a discussion on the ACS forum about a monthly F2F Games night. we could start first. I've been buying games that are meant for one night play. _________________ change: constant;
